SPARC Early Intervention Services:
Assistive Technology for Children with Disabilities
Grants from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Boeing Employee Community Fund, Lucky Seven Foundation and other regional funders provided equipment and start-up funding for a project developed by the SPARC Early Intervention program in Skagit County. Assistive Technology includes a wide variety of adaptive equipment and educational supports that are individually designed and adapted for children with disabilities and special needs.
Stilly Valley Center:
Senior Caregiver Support
The Family Caregiver Support Program supports family members who are providing care to adults with chronic or acute health conditions. At the height of the COVID-19 crises, the Family Caregiver Support Specialist coordinated the distribution of thousands of dollars of financial aid to families.
Martha & Mary:
M&M’s 70-bed Memory Care Unit is dedicated to caring for residents suffering from different forms of dementia. Grants helped fund an expansion of the Memory Care Unit to include an intimate family room space that allows for socializing, game playing, arts & crafts, community celebrations, and visiting with family and friends.
