International Grant Professionals Day (#IGPD) is the annual celebration to recognize and show appreciation to all grant professionals. This year IGPD is March 12, 2021.
Did you know that while Hertlein Grant Writing focuses on Washington State, we occasionally reach across borders and write for clients in other states, and even other countries? Some of the countries of clients we’ve written for include:
- Uganda
- Ethiopia
- Kenya
- Syria
We’ve also employed an international staff for the last three years. Michael Hertlein holds both American and Dutch nationalities. Michael started working for Hertlein Grant Writing while living in the Netherlands. He has since relocated to Turkey, but continues to write for Hertlein Grant Writing.
Michael’s international experience has given him key insights into issues such as immigration and how immigrants are treated in different countries. Michael uses what he learns to improve his grant writing, and hopes to one day soon be able to give back in a meaningful way to the non-profit sector in Turkey.
